Status and ecology:
National Status: Common
Resident. Larvae occurs sparingly in a few deciduous woods in both vice counties. Perhaps seriously under-recorded. Single-brooded flying mainly in May and June. Larvae feed on the leaves of apple, pear and hawthorn. (Pratt, 2011)
