Status and ecology:

National Status: Nationally Scarce A

By 1975 this proposed Red Data Book Class 2 moth has been recorded in the county under unspecified circumstances feeding on pear by A.M. Emmet at a site in West Sussex. Nothing else is know about pyri in the county, except that the 1800 records are definitely in error. (Pratt, 2011)
