Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

Resident. Usually occurs sparingly in a wide range of habitats but it is sometimes fairly common to common at mv light amongst woodland. Probably generally distributed in large areas. Single-brooded, flying mainly from late May to late August. Larvae feed hawthorn, sloe, and fruit trees. (Pratt, 2011).
