Status and ecology:

National Status: Nationally Scarce B

Nationally Notable Class B. Uncertain. Undetected in West Sussex since 1917 and in East Sussex since 1933. Single-brooded, flying during June and July. Larvae feed on (silver) birch, and some of the sallows. (Pratt, 2011).
