Status and ecology:

National Status: Local

A resident and suspected immigrant. It occurs singly at mv light in a very few places in West Sussex. There are no records in East Sussex since 1946. It is single-brooded, flying mainly from mid July to mid August. The species has been associated with larch and fir trees, these being the food plants elsewhere. (Pratt, 2011).
