Status and ecology:

National Status: Local

An immigrant and resident species along parts of the coast since 1979. Generally occurs singly or sparingly, but is occasionally fairly common to common near the coast. Very local and episodic in numbers. Double-brooded, flying mainly from mid-June to early August, and again from late August to late October. Larvae feed on mugwort. (Pratt, 2011).
