Status and ecology:

National Status: Migrant

An immigrant species, appearing each year in widely varying numbers in a wide range of habitats. Occasionally very common or even abundant at mv light along parts of the coast. Regularly widespread and sometimes generally distributed. Typically most frequent between mid-July and late September. Larvae feed on clover and unspecified grasses. (Pratt, 2011).
