Status and ecology:

National Status: Migrant / Adventive

Until recently this species was thought to be an accidental import, but nowdays colonizing migrants are thought to add to the sources of UK specimens. Larvae are polyphagous on the Continent but have never been detected here. The only known Sussex adults have all been caught at light this century, especially near Arundel. (Pratt, 2011).
