Hellinsia chrysocomae (Ragonot, 1875)

Nationally notable and only separated from osteodactylus in the middle of the 20th century. However, at least a dozen specimens were caught at Arlington prior to 1926. A singleton was recorded on 17th July 1961 in Flatroper's Wood by M. F. Tweedie. Three more specimens were recorded there on 1st August 1963 at mv light. Beckley and Abbot's have been well-worked since then and but nothing more has been seen of this moth in Sussex. (Pratt, 2011)
