Status and ecology:

Resident. Occurs sparingly or fairly commonly at mv light in a wide range of habitats. Probably generally distributed. Triple-brooded in overlapping flights, flying mainly from early May to mid June, with two more emergences which chiefly appear between mid July and the second week of September. Adults have been seen in every week from the second week of April to the third week of September. Larvae feed on hawthorn, apple, pear, sloe and oak. (Pratt, 2011)
