Status and ecology:

A resident species in decline, usually occurring singly or sparingly, but occasionally fairly common at mv light near waste ground - especially within ten miles of the coast. Now confined to the extremities of the county. Single-brooded, flying mainly from mid-July to late August. Larvae feed on goosefoot and orache. (Pratt, 2011)
