Status and ecology:

The first UK specimen (right) was caught at a 125W mv trap situated at Dove Cottage in Climping Street, about half a mile inland in between Climping and Atherington, on October 9th 2011 by M. Sennitt. Its identification was confirmed by Martin Honey of the Natural History Museum and Jaan Viidalepp. In central Europe it is double brooded, the adults flying between May and September but even here is uncommon. The larvae feed on silver fir. (Pratt, 2011)
