Status and ecology:

A resident and suspected immigrant species, usually occurring sparingly, sometimes fairly common to common at mv light in a wide range of habitats. On the increase and well distributed, perhaps generally so except for the extreme north-western corner. Double-brooded, flying mainly from mid-May to early July and from late August to early November. Elsewhere larvae feed on Monterey cypress. (Pratt, 2011)
