Status and ecology:

National Status: Nb

Resident occurs singly or sparingly at mv light, although larvae are sometimes common along rides in our highest quality woodland. Thinly distributed east of a line from Horsham to Eastbourne. Very local and distinctly episodic in appearance. Single-brooded flying mainly late June to late August. Larvae feed on the flowers of golden rod. (Pratt, 2011).
