Status and ecology:

National Status: Nb

Resident. In danger of extinction in both vice-counties. Adults usually come singly to mv light, sometimes sparingly, but larvae are occasionally common in a wide range of habitats chiefly situated within four miles of the coast. Extremely local and distinctly episodic in appearance. Single-brooded, flying mainly from mid June to mid August, occasionally from late May. Larvae feed on seed heads of yarrow. (Pratt, 2011).
