Status and ecology:

Resident, but in danger of extinction in both vice-counties. Scarce, only known from a very few woodland rides and clearings. Extremely local distinctly irregular in appearance and in decline. Double-brooded, flying mainly from late May to mid July and again from late July into September, according to season. Larvae feed on the flowers of golden rod. (Pratt, 2011).
