Status and ecology:

National Status: Na

Immigrant and suspected temporary resident. Occurring singly or sparingly by day and at mv light in a wide range of habitats, especially near the coast. Single brooded in continental northern Europe (July and August) here the species appears between late May and late June. The larvae of this species have not been found in this county, but they feed on bilberry in Scotland, and on birch, bilberry and bog whortleberry on the continent. (Pratt 2011)
