Status and ecology:

A resident species, occurring singly or sparingly at mv light in a wide range of habitats. Widespread away from the west, central region of the county, but any numbers are irregular and very local. Probably in decline. Larvae feed on Lawson’s cypress, peony, ivy, rose, bramble, birch, sallow, honeysuckle, privet and sweet chestnut. (Pratt 2011)
