Status and ecology:

National Status: Nb

A suspected episodic immigrant and currently extinct temporary resident. Undetected in West Sussex since 1905 and East Sussex since final capture in 1970. Single brooded, flying mainly during June and again in August. The larval foodplants have not been determined in Sussex but unidentified fine grasses and small herbaceous plants have been reported elsewhere. (Pratt, 2011)
