Status and ecology:

A resident species occurring singly to mv light in the south-east, in woods, marshes and along parts of the coast. It is in danger of extinction in West Sussex. Rare, episodic in appearance and undetected in the west since 1984 and in East Sussex since 2001. Single brooded flying mainly from mid June to early August. Larvae feed on dock and plantain. (Pratt, 2011)
