Status and ecology:

Resident, the moth occurs sparingly at mv light in reed-beds but is sometimes fairly common in reed-beds near the coast, and occasionally fairly common at Ickelsham. Extremely local in numbers. Apparently single-brooded flying mainly from late May to late August but has been seen up to late September. Larvae feed on (common) reed. (Pratt, 2011)
