Status and ecology:

Resident. Normally occurs at mv light in a wide range of habitats, although it avoids the chalk and is sometimes fairly common in woods. Very local. Single-brooded, flying mainly from mid June to early August. Larvae feed on sallow and hawthorn. (Pratt, 2011)
