Status and ecology:

Resident. Occurs sparingly at mv light in a wide range of habitats, deciduous woods in the north being favoured. Well distributed. Single-brooded, flying mainly from mid September to early November and again after hibernation from late February to late May. Larvae feed on oak and sallow. (Pratt, 2011)
