Status and ecology:

Resident. Fairly common in a wide range of habitats especially along the coast. Well distributed, perhaps less so in the far north-west. Single-brooded, flying mainly from late September to mid November, occasionally to early January. Larvae feed on Monterey cypress. (Pratt, 2011)
