Status and ecology:

National Status: Nb

Suspected immigrant and episodic resident. As an immigrant it is rare and only occurs as singletons in wide range of habitats; as a resident moth has been extinct in both halves of county since the 1940’s. Single-brooded, flying mainly from mid September to the third week of November. Unlike other counties, adults have not been encountered here during or after hibernation. Larvae feed on lettuce. (Pratt, 2011)
