Status and ecology:
A resident species, this moth usually occurs singly or sparingly in a wide rang of habitats, but is sometimes common and occasionally common at mv light in deciduous woodland. Well distributed, perhaps generally so, but very irregular in numbers. A single brooded species flying mainly from mid September to mid November. The larval foodplants are yet to be determined in this county, but maple and beech are listed elsewhere. (Pratt, 2011)
