Synonym(s):

Nyctobrya glandifera ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Status and ecology:

A resident species, usually occurring sparingly or fairly commonly at mv light along the coast but occasionally common on vegetated shingle beaches at Rye. Very local in numbers and well distributed in the south but colonies are rare in the north. Single-brooded, flying mainly from mid-July to mid-September. Larvae feed on unidentified lichens growing on old walls. (Pratt, 2011)
