Status and ecology:

A resident species, usually occurring singly or sparingly at mv light in a wide range of habitats. Occasionally very common on Pevensey Levels where high numbers are very local and episodic. Widespread away from the north-west. Single-brooded, flying mainly from mid-June to early August. Larvae feed on willow. (Pratt, 2011)
