Status and ecology:

A resident species often fairly common and sometimes common at mv light in woods and on heaths. Well distributed, but very local in numbers. Single-brooded flying from mid May to early August. The larval foodplant has not been recorded in Sussex but purple moor-grass has been listed from elsewhere. (Pratt, 2011)
