Status and ecology:

A resident species usually occurring sparingly or fairly commonly at mv light. Occasionally common along parts of the coast. Well distributed but high numbers are local and irregular. Double-brooded flying most numerously in overlapping emergences between the second week of May and early September. Larvae feed on stinging nettle. (Pratt, 2011)
