Status and ecology:

A resident species usually occurring sparingly or fairly commonly to commonly at mv light in a wide range of habitats. Probably generally distributed. Double-brooded, flying mainly and from mid-May to early August and again less numerously from late August to late October. Larvae feed on stinging nettle. (Pratt, 2011)
