Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

Resident. The moth occurs singly in a very few woods and commons in both vice-counties; in danger of extinction in East Sussex.
Nationally double-brooded, flying mainly during May and August, although here in Sussex the few records of adults are dated June, July, and August. Larvae feed on goat willow. (Pratt, 2011)
