Status and ecology:
National Status: Local
The only Sussex record of this Nationally Notable insect concerns the identification of a dozen larvae feeding on the undersides of leaves of a naturalised grey alder tree at Woods Mill on 19 August 2009, more being seen there one week later and on September 27th of the same year. (Pratt, 2011)
