Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

Resident. Larvae generally occur singly or sparingly in a few shrubby places in both vice-counties, although they are occasionally common in West Sussex. Double-brooded, flying mainly during May and August, although this has yet to be confirmed in Sussex. (Pratt,2011).
