Status and ecology:

National Status: Nationally Scarce A

The larval borings and cocoons of this species were discovered here in twigs of Salix cinerea in Pennyroyal Wood in the Stansted Forest complex in October 2007. Many more mines and pupae were then encountered on S. fragilis at Pulborough Wild Brooks in September 2008. (Pratt, 2011).
