Status and ecology:
National Status: Common
A resident species occurring singly or sparingly at mv light in both vice-counties, preferring boggy heathland habitats. Extremely local with few known recent colonies. Single-brooded, flying mainly from the second week of May to late June. Larvae feed inside the stems of field hairy-rush. (Pratt, 2011).
