Status and ecology:
National Status: Common
A resident species, both adults and larvae occur singly or sparingly in a wide range of habitats in both vice-counties. Single-brooded, flying mainly throughout July and also during September and October. Larvae feed on hawthorn. (Pratt, 2011)
