Status and ecology:

National Status: Nationally Scarce A

A resident species, with just one pre-1905 record at Fernhurst. Elsewhere it is single-brooded, flying mainly during June. Larvae feed on buckthorn, guelder-rose, wayfaring tree and dogwood. (Pratt, 2011)
