Status and ecology:

National Status: pRDB2

A UK Biodiversity Action Plan Priority Species. Colonies were known from Ditchling Common and Tilgate Forest until the mid-20th century but it now only occurs at Thorney Island where larval cases can be very common on dyer's greenweed in the spring. Single adults have been recorded at mv light elsewhere in the far south-west of the county (Pratt, 2011).
