Status and ecology:

National Status: Local

Formerly known from the Brighton Downs, it is now mainly restricted to Ashdown Forest and the western heaths where small numbers of larval cases have been swept from heather in early spring. A small number of adults have been recorded, from early June to late August (Pratt, 2011).
