Status and ecology:

National Status: Nationally Scarce B

First recorded in Sussex on 29th May 1996 in Walburton, it has since been recorded at the same location on 3 other occasions. Elsewhere, singletons have turned up at Marley Common on 7th August 2001 and at Icklesham 7th June and 29th August 2008. Larvae are not known in the county but have been recorded on toad rush elsewhere (Pratt, 2011)
