Status and ecology:

National Status: Nationally Scarce B

Only ever recorded twice in the two vice-counties. In Victorian times it was said to be very abundant on the saltmarshes between Shoreham and Worthing. Many larval cases were then found on saltmarsh rush at Thorney Island in July 2007 (Pratt, 2011).
