Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

Resident. Usually occurs in small numbers at mv light in a range of habitats in both vice-counties but can occasionally be common on the coast in the far east. Flies from mid April to mid August and larvae feed on cock's-foot and brome grasses (Pratt, 2011).
