Status and ecology:

National Status: Local

A resident and suspected immigrant species whose larvae occur singly or sparingly in a very few downland habitats in both vice-counties. Single-brooded, flying mainly during August. Larvae feed on the flower-heads of burnet-saxifrage, earth nut and moon carrot. (Pratt, 2011)
