Status and ecology:
National Status: Common
A resident species, occurring singly at mv light in a very few places in both vice-counties, although higher numbers can be beaten out of bushes. Single-brooded, flying mainly from mid-July to late September, and again after hibernation during the spring. Larvae feed on wild carrot, wild angelica and wild parsnip. (Pratt, 2011)
