Status and ecology:
National Status: Nationally Scarce B
Resident. Occurs singly at mv light in the few vegetated shingle beach areas that survive in both vice-counties, although it is sometimes locally common at Pagham. Double-brooded, flying from May to September. Larvae feed on common mouse-ear, although this has yet to be confirmed in Sussex (Pratt, 2011).
