Status and ecology:

National Status: Nationally Scarce B

A very rare, probable resident. Only reported from East Sussex in 2001 and West Sussex in 2008. In other counties the species is single-brooded, flying from late June to early August and the larvae feed on the seed-heads of field scabious. (Pratt, 2011).
