Status and ecology:

National Status: pRDB2

A rare single-brooded resident in a few places on or near the Downs between Amberley and Eastbourne. Since 1990, reported only at Amberley, Storrington and Peacehaven, all in July. Larvae feed on field scabious, knapweed, mallow, etc. (Pratt, 2011)
