Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

A fairly common, widespread and apparently increasing resident, single-brooded, flying mainly from late May to July or August. Larvae feed on ivy, privet, honeysuckle, Euonymus japonicus and wayfaring tree (Viburnum). (Pratt, 2011)
