1004 (Small Straw Twist), Paramesia gnomana (Clerck, 1759)

Status and ecology:

National Status: pRDB1

First recorded in the UK in Swiff Lane near Broad Oak when seven individuals came to mv light between 5th and 29th August 1977. Three more specimens have since been recorded in the same locality in 1979, 1981 and 1983. On the continent, larvae feed on a range of deciduous trees (Pratt, 2011).
